Prospective members are invited to make up to three visits to the Club, with
their own boat if they wish, before applying to join. It should be possible
to arrange a sail for those who have not tried sailing before.
For summer sailing, canvas shoes and casual clothing are adequate, but bring
a complete change. In autumn, windproof clothing is advised and in winter and
spring wet or dry suits are compulsory. Personal buoyancy is a necessity
whenever any member goes afloat. These may be borrowed for a trial sail.
